We really enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Marriott Shin-Osaka! The rooms were a decent size, clean, and included many amenities. We loved the location as it was right next to the train station. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the lounge for Elite members was really nice, serving all kinds of snacks/treats throughout the day. We will be staying here again when visiting Osaka!

We stayed here for 3 nights. As a gold member of Marriott i really didn't want to give such a low star review. But i thought management has to know. The only good thing about this hotel is the proximity to Shin-Osaka station for transit and commute. Their service level of staffs were barely minimal and definitely not the usual Marriott nor Japanese service we were looking for. The worst of all was the final check before checked out. We found an used tampon under the bed. That was disgusting that we didn't even know about it for 3 nights. The cleaner must have simply swept the dust out of sight to under the bed without proper cleaning.

Decent location but a little bit far from Namba and Dotonbori. Hotel is nice, clean and spacious but if you are sensitive to noise, the hotel is very near to Shin Osaka so you will hear the trains. Buffet breakfast also repeats daily so better if you book hotel only without breakfast if you want variation. Service is excellent but amenities are just okay when compared to other hotels in the same price point.

Best hotel I stayed at in Japan! [Comparing to other Marriott and Hilton properties I tested, including Conrad Osaka and Mesm (Autograph Collection) in Tokyo.] This hotel has great attention to detail, takes care of Marriott Elite members and invests in quality to ensure the best guest experience. The housekeeping staff was fantastic - detail-oriented and ensured every corner and inch was speck-free. The hotel is also generous with bath amenities and replenishes everything without a guest having to ask for bath items. The furnishings, suite layout, and appliances and other items in the suite are placed with thoughtfulness behind them. Also liked the variety and quality of options available for food at the lounge and at breakfast at the restaurant. And excellent service overall - they’ve mastered the art of dealing well with both Japanese and foreign guests alike (and drawing on the good habits of Japanese and western cultures) - something many hotel properties in Japan seem to miss, as they either cater to the Japanese and neglect foreign or western guests or to foreign guests and neglect Japanese. The staff’s skillful and thoughtful mannerisms and maintenance of the property reflect the best of all cultures. Definitely the best Courtyard have ever stayed in. And imo this particular property also outperforms many luxury brand Marriott and Hilton properties, as the anticipation of guest needs, quality of products, service and experience here was a cut above expected. Well done! One of the top five favorite properties in the world.

Room was nice, a little small but that's normal. TV was also on the smaller side, also normal. Unfortunately didn't have Netflix / other Smart TV functionally, and very little English programming. Best feature of the hotel by far was the location! Right by station!!
